Growing up

you were a planet,

albeit a small one.

To the Romans

you were a God,

lording over the underworld,

ushering in death

and rebirth

with your presence.

Someone recently told me

you were ‘declassified’,

relegated to the

lesser status of

‘dwarf planet’.

To me,

an appreciator of

samsara,

you are

and will remain

unequivocally deserving

of your infinite,

divine,

planethood.
